Wordpress Safety - To Protect Your Wordpress Installation From Hackers

I have had two WordPress blogs hacked into in the past. That was at a time when I was doing very little internet marketing, and until I found time to address the situation (months later), these sites were penalised in the search engines. They were not removed, but the rankings were reduced.

Since scare tactics seem to be what drives some people to take fix wordpress malware protection a little more seriously, or at the very least start considering the problem, allow me to shoot a couple of scare tactics your way.

You can search. It is easy to restore your site by means of your backup files and change everything that has to be changed if hackers suddenly hack your site.

Exclude pages - This plugin adds a checkbox,"include this page in menus", which is checked by default. If you uncheck it, the page won't appear in any listings of pages (which includes, and is usually restricted to, your page navigation menus).

BACK UP your site and keep a copy on your own computer and off-site storage. Back if you have a very active site. You spend a whole lot of time and money on your website, don't skip this! Is BackupBuddy, no other plug-ins back up plugins, widgets, your important link documents and database. Need to move your site this will do it!

I prefer using a WordPress plugin to get the work done. Make sure the plugin you choose is in a position to do backups, has restore functionality, and can replicate. Be sure it is often updated to keep pace. There's absolutely no use in not functioning, and backing up your data to a plugin that is out of date.
